Job Description

We are looking for a Test Lead to provide expert advice and guidance on test methods, techniques, and tools at all stages of the development life cycle with the aim of implementing the best approach to testing. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems. This position will be full-time and onsite.

What You’ll Do

  • System Testing Oversight: Verify that all system changes are thoroughly tested across all functionalities and integration points to ensure seamless integration and performance

  • Expert Guidance: Provide authoritative advice and support on test methodologies, techniques, and tools throughout the development lifecycle to implement the most effective testing strategies

  • Automation Leadership: Take charge of the automation of test scripts, ensuring efficient and accurate testing processes

  • Collaborative Team Management: Work closely with the development team, business analysts, and project managers to ensure testing objectives are met

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all testing activities meet or exceed predefined quality standards and that all deliverables are of the highest caliber

  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve testing processes and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with testing activities

  • Reporting: Keep stakeholders informed with regular and detailed reports on the status, progress, and outcomes of testing activities

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing the development and testing of systems similar in size and scope to this solicitation

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of software testing principles, frameworks, and tools

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of testers

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to a non-technical audience

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications in software testing are a plus

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies and stay current with industry best practice

  • Actively hold a Scrum Master Certification

  • 5 years of experience facilitating meetings w/ clients & stakeholders

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
