Description

We are seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The Human Resources Administrator will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.

Responsibilities:

• Administering and processing employee benefits and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

• Handling employee relations and union grievances, conducting investigations when necessary.

• Assisting in the administration and implementation of human resources programs.

• Utilizing Concur and other similar applications to maintain accurate records and process relevant transactions.

• Engaging in employee relations investigations and providing appropriate resolutions.

• Ensuring proper administration of HR tasks in alignment with the organization's standards.

• Coordinating with different departments, employees, and external parties as required.

• Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

• Providing support in various HR projects, meetings, and initiatives.

• Managing and updating employee records and other HR administrative tasks.

Requirements • Proficiency in using Concur software for managing expenses

• Demonstrated experience in managing Benefit Functions within a Human Resources team

• Solid understanding of Compliance protocols within a government setting

• Proven ability to handle Union Grievances effectively and professionally

• Extensive experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Strong skills in managing Employee Relations within a diverse workforce

• Previous experience in conducting Employee Relations Investigations, ensuring fairness and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
