By joining our Donor Relations department, you will become part of a group that creates and delivers inclusive communications, events, trips, and recognition programs for TNC's core prospects and donors. Our team works across TNC globally to provide creative, strategic donor stewardship and engagement opportunities that strengthen relationships, deepen trust, and increase giving to TNC's top priorities. You will be part of a small team of grant managers who steward a portfolio of complex grants from principal gift-level private foundations supporting conservation work around the globe.

We're looking for someone with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to proactively manage multiple projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in collaborating across diverse teams to prepare deliverables for external audiences. We're looking for someone who is not only detail-oriented but also an excellent communicator.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience coordinating projects.
  • Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of philanthropy.
  • Experience preparing communications for external constituents.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Experience working across departments.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organization skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience are appreciated.
  • Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of foundation relations, donor stewardship, and/or grant management.
  • Understanding of Highly Effective Teams (HET) or other project management system principles, tools, and practices.
  • Ability to implement complex processes.
  • Demonstrated experience using diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships and motivate staff.
  • Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results.
  • Experience with donor database software.
  • Knowledge of current trends in donor relations/stewardship and the donor cultivation cycle.
  • Successful experience implementing strategic program goals.
  • Understanding of basic accounting practices.
