DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Corrections Food Service Supervisor, you will oversee large-scale food preparation, production, serving, and sanitation. You will supervise Corrections Food Service Instructors and oversee on-the-job food service training provided to inmates. Other key responsibilities include requisitioning supplies and equipment, as well as preparing and maintaining work records and personnel reports. You will also ensure staff and inmates comply with established food sanitation and safety standards, maintain safe working conditions, and enforce security and custody regulations in all work areas.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (40-hour work week) Work hours are 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday - Tuesday. This position is eligible for full benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please note, selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $48,425.00 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Corrections Food Service Instructor; or
Three years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation, which included one year of lead work experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training, which included one year of lead work experience.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
