Trinity Health Nurse Manager - MG2 Tele/Trauma - Full Time, Day Shift (St. Mary) in Langhorne, Pennsylvania

Description:

St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an RN Nurse Manager to join our Tele/Trauma team!

The primary objective of this position is to improve quality. Responsible for assigned unit(s) actively over a twenty-four (24) hour period including the development and implementation of both standards of care and a quality improvement plan for the unit.

Our MG2 Tele/Trauma Unit is all telemetry monitored. The unit sees mainly trauma and cardiac patients. Patient ratio is 4:1 - 6:1 depending on census. The unit includes double rooms and holds up to 49 patients.

  • Recruits, selects and counsels staff.

  • Disciplines staff as appropriate and documents accordingly.

  • Consistently & fairly interprets and enforces Human Resources’ policies & procedures and refers to appropriate person if necessary.

  • Oversees staff and department in-services and orientation.

  • Ensures that all mandatory requirements have been communicated to the staff for compliance.

  • Develops Quality Improvement plan for Unit/area of responsibility.

  • Develops and monitors the budget, prepares variance analysis and evaluates opportunities for cost reductions.

  • Conducts staff meetings on a regular basis and disseminates information.

  • Investigates & responds appropriately to all complaints and recommends corrective action if necessary.

  • Demonstrates behaviors that promote positive customer relations with physicians, staff, patients & visitors.

Position Requirements:

  • PA RN License

  • MSN

  • 2 Years of Management Experience
