JOB DESCRIPTION: ? Completes all paperwork (SO and Fremont 1) for athletes to be eligible in Fall, Winter, and Summer Games, along with other competitions. ? Maintains a positive relationship with athletes, parents, and other staff and communicates with said groups in advance re: practices and competitions; ? Consults with Athletic Director regarding budget and fundraising efforts to include Challenge for Charities and the Jackalope Jump; ? Attends all Special Olympics meetings and shares information with Athletic Director; ? Recruits students, volunteers, and peer coaches; ? Works with the Athletic Director to coordinate practices and travel arrangements; ? Supervises athletes during travel and competitions; ? Models good sportsmanship; and ? Teaches and upholds school and Special Olympic rules & regulations. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ? Special Olympic coaching experience; ? Ability to organize and manage time; ? Use positive behavioral management techniques; ? Ability to establish a positive relationship with athletes, parents, and other staff; and ? Ability to attend all practices and meets; ? Adhere to all district requirements and trainings, including CPR/First Aid.
