DESCRIPTION OF WORK The White Clay Creek Preserve, Big Elk Creek State Park, and Ridley Creek State Park are currently seeking a seasonal, semi-skilled laborer to join their team. In this role, your primary responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness of park restrooms, emptying trash receptacles, and picking up litter. Additionally, you will be responsible for mowing grass, trimming weeds, and cleaning drains and culverts. You will have the opportunity to operate both small lawn tractors and large tractors with a brush hog mower. General maintenance and repairs of equipment will also be part of your duties, and you will be required to keep a record of gasoline, diesel fuel, and maintenance and replacement parts used. Other tasks may include painting and staining, constructing and repairing park signs, assisting maintenance repairmen, performing routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment, and utilizing various power and hand tools such as chainsaws, generators, air compressors, string trimmers, saws, and drills. It will also be your responsibility to repair and maintain these tools, as well as operate and maintain pickup trucks and other motor vehicles. As assigned, you may be required to perform additional maintenance work.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Seasonal Full-time employment without benefits. This position reports to White Clay Creek Preserve / Big Elk Creek State Parks in Chester County, PA. Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 5 out of Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. This is a 24/7 operation, will work 5 out of 7 days in a week, may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
