Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Quality

  • Maintain established product quality standards

  • Communicate changes in product quality and packaging standards

  • Resolve all quality issues/concerns in a timely and efficient manner

  • Submit suggestions for continual improvement in Quality on a regular basis

  • Safety

  • Maintain established company safe practices and procedures

  • Maintain compliance with all O.S.H.A. standards

  • Maintain compliance with all product safety standards. (FDA/USDA/PA-DA/Good Manufacturing Practices/HACCP/SQF)

  • Report all accidents and issues regarding personal safety and product safety to your supervisor immediately

  • Submit suggestions for continual improvement in Safety on a regular basis

  • Cost and Efficiencies

  • Work at required levels of efficiency

  • Minimize and reduce waste in all areas

  • Submit methods for continual improvement in Cost & Efficiencies on a regular basis

  • Housekeeping and Sanitation

  • Maintain required levels of housekeeping

  • Communicate issues/concerns regarding sanitation to your immediate supervisor

  • Always maintain Good Manufacturing Practices-(GMP’s)

  • Submit suggestions for continual improvement in Housekeeping and Sanitation on a regular basis

  • Other

  • Perform projects and/or special tasks as assigned

  • Comply with established Company work rules, policy, and procedures

  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of all issues, concerns and exceptions to normal operating procedures and policy

  • Specific Tasks

  • Responsible for following Master Sanitation Schedule and recording areas that have been cleaned

  • Responsible for cleaning maintaining all walls, ceilings, floors, pipes, and miscellaneous fixtures

  • Responsible for cleaning the following but not limited to, all processing equipment, ovens, conveyor systems, catch pans, bucket conveyor systems etc.

  • Responsible for cleaning the floor unloading area, silo interior, silo filter bag compartments and silo exterior area

  • Responsible for removal of all trash, salt, and product waste containers when necessary. Responsible for recording pounds of waste material

  • Clean any equipment that may be assigned

  • Responsible for maintaining exterior grounds with respect to product, packaging waste, weed control and trash

  • Responsible for meeting pest control criteria and bi-weekly inspections

  • Responsible for foreign material inspections of bulk raw ingredients

  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining EE facilities

  • Additional Tasks: Contributes to team effort by performing other assigned duties as needed. Maintains cooperative relationship with co-workers and management by communicating necessary information, responding to requests, building rapport; and participating in problem solving methods. Follows and enforces standards for food safety and food quality production reflected in SQF as well as the regulations of major vendors and governmental agencies such as OSHA, FDA and EPA and assures associates are consistently trained in these standards and comply with all requirements
