Serves as primary contact in assisting resale store customers, performs safe cash handling tasks, performs efficient POS transactions, maintains clean and organized cash wrap area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Good attendance is vital to the success of the organization and the employee's career development. 2. Excellent customer service including, but not limited to, greeting every customer within three seconds, offering assistance and explaining general store layout. 3. Maintains professional attire within appropriate dress code. 4. Maintains a polite, composed and professional attitude. 5. Professional handling of customer phone calls and inquiries. Accurately record any messages left for store associates or needing follow up from store associates. 6. Accurately completes daily paperwork such as, writing up a sales order in a complete and legible manner. 7. Performs efficient customer transactions at point of sale and demonstrates accurate cash handling in accordance to established store procedures. 8. Ask customer if they want to "round up their change and donate to the Furniture Bank". 9. Properly packages customer purchases and assists customer with Bungii services for delivery if requested. 10. Reports suspicious behavior to management. 11. Maintains clean and organized cash wrap area, restocks sales supplies i.e. sold tags, order forms, sticker, bags, and cleaning supplies. 12. Straighten/ organize shelves, linens and clothing areas. 13. Communicates with other departments via intercom. 14. Assists in daily store cleaning such as sweeping, dusting, window cleaning, emptying trashcans, and cleaning bathrooms. 15. Walks sales floor looking for merchandise outs. Able to replenish shelves and clothing racks from processed inventory in sort room. 16. Attend and participate in daily store meetings either at store opening or closing. * Opportunity to move to Full Time Position.
