The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Highway Maintenance, District 1, has a full-time vacancy for an Assistant Highway Maintenance District Engineer.
Summary: To formulate, plan, direct and evaluate multiple professional administrative civil engineering and supervisory functions involving the operation of a Highway Maintenance District.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:
Education: Masters degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in engineering, or Bachelors degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study engineering and possession of a Master of Business Administration degree from an accredited institute of higher education.
Experience: One (1) year of work experience in engineering post Professional Engineer licensure.
OR
Education: Bachelor degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in engineering.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in engineering post Professional Engineer licensure.
OR
Education: Associate's degree from an accredited institute of higher education, with a major study in engineering or engineering technology.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in engineering post Professional Engineer licensure.
License/Certification:
Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Hampshire or a Licensed Professional Engineer in another state and obtain licensure in NH within one year of employment. Licensure designation must be in Civil, Civil Highway, Geo Technical or Structural Engineering.
Must possess a valid driver's license and/or have access to transportation for statewide travel.
The applicant's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards as established by the hiring agency.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: In-depth knowledge of construction techniques/practices.
