Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Lakewood, Washington. As part of the team, you will be involved in a variety of accounting duties, with a focus on Accounts Receivable. Your main tasks will include processing journal entries, managing year-end closings, and working closely with the finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Receivable operations and ensure accuracy

• Generate and maintain general ledger entries

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate

• Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met

• Assist in preparing for year-end closings

• Utilize PeopleSoft for various accounting operations

• Detect inaccuracies in financial documents and reports, and communicate these issues promptly

• Upload budgets from Excel worksheets to appropriate platforms

• Collaborate effectively with team members within the finance department. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Must be able to perform Bank Reconciliations with accuracy

• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance is necessary

• Should have experience in preparing Journal Entries

• Ability to handle Month End Close processes is crucial

• Experience with Year End Closings is a must

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft software is desirable
