International Senior Inventory Control Associate in Lakewood, Washington

Position Overview

The Pacific Northwest PDC is the newest International Motors' Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in our network. It will be a new state of the art facility located in Lakewood, WA. This facility will serve our regional dealers with stock.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Inventory Control Associate to join our parts distribution center for International.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and optimizing inventory processes to support our operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts and components

  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner

  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures and best practices

  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels

  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts

  • Prepare and maintain inventory reports for management review

  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management software and tools

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all inventory-related activities

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate’s degree

  • At least 1 year of materials management experience

OR

  • At least 2 years of materials management experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.   • Physical Requirements:o Ability to lift 50 poundso Ability to stand/walk 67-100% of the timeo Ability to climb a ladder and/or stairso Able to work at high levels (30 ft. off the ground) in a stock picker

Desired Skills

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role in a parts distribution center or manufacturing environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Past LEAN experience, preferably within a distribution center

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles

  • Familiarity with truck parts and components is a plus

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred
