Adecco Staffing is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Truck Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity in Lakewood, NJ. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of truck and trailer types. Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair truck or trailer breakdowns, including engines, transmissions, driveline, and differentials.

• Perform engine repairs, rebuilds, and tune-ups following established procedures.

• Repair and maintain steering, suspension, brake systems, frame, axles, electrical, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems.

• Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) on trucks and trailers.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to lower-level mechanics.

• Perform road service when necessary.

• Accurately document malfunctions, damage, repairs, and parts required, both orally and in writing (including computer documentation).

• Work independently with limited supervision to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

• Assist with any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• CDL Class B required.

• Proven experience in repairing various types of trucks and trailers, including gasoline and diesel engines.

• Strong proficiency in overhauls, transmission and differential repairs, clutches, starters, alternators, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, and more.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and provide guidance to junior mechanics.

• Must be capable of lifting 50-75 lbs.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $36.00 per hour
