Office of the Secretary of the Interior Support Services Supervisor in Lakewood, Colorado
Summary This position is part of the Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, Office of Natural Resources Revenue, Deputy Director, Strategic Resource Management, Facility & Support Services, located in Lakewood, CO. NOTE: This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within Office of Natural Resources Revenue. Responsibilities Direct and manage the space and facilities program including planning, maintenance, renovation and utilization of all government owned and leased buildings. Serve as principle technical expert and management official for a space and facilities management program for all ONRR building locations in 7 locations. Responsible for the provision and execution of various administrative services for ONRR which include personal property management, physical security, and facilities. Plan and direct the work of Facilities and Support Services technical and administrative employees. Make decisions on work problems brought by employees supervised, approves work-related changes and coordinates implementation with the SRM Manager. Manage and coordinate the safety program throughout ONRR's program offices. Ensure safety inspections, reports, and records are completed and maintained in accordance with established requirements. Promote on-the-job safety and health of all employees supervised, and throughout ONRR. Requirements Conditions of Employment U.S. Citizenship is required. Qualifications At the GS-14 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes: directing most aspects of building management, resolving problems relating to space assignment and use, determining the adequacy of building services, furnishings, and fixtures, planning, scheduling space improvement projects, coordinating the design, installation, modification and/or repair of security systems, planning and supervising all on-site construction activity performed by personnel or contractors and planning and administering a comprehensive building security program. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
