Where you will work: This position offers a hybrid work option (up to 50% remote) and is open to MN-Lakeville, WI-Sun Prairie, IL-Bloomington or any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The contributions you will make: This position provides strategic oversight and leadership for activities including credit administration, loan analysis, approvals within delegated authorities, monitoring, servicing and reporting across Ag Lending Credit. It collaborates across the organization to develop and drive strategies, short & long-term business goals, enhance programs and drive efficiencies. Leads credit efforts and works closely with business units to execute within a team relationship model. Directly and indirectly manages team leaders and/or team members within across Ag Lending credit including their selection, development, motivation, evaluation, and compensation. Acts as a resource for structuring credit requests that support credit philosophy, direction, and risk management of the organization. Accountable for achieving and maintaining high levels of team engagement. Serves as a member of the Credit Committee. A typical day: Strategic Leadership and Team Management Provides oversight and direction to Ag Lending credit team, and other departments, related to credit philosophy and client servicing. Identifies and implements short- and long-term strategies for the department. Determines performance standards and development plans and effectively communicates them to team members. Drives continuous process improvement within the team, developing best practices. Responsible for selecting, developing, motivating, engaging, evaluating, and compensating direct and indirect reports within Ag Lending credit teams. Coaches team members on more complex and challenging issues and decisions. Credit Underwriting, Analysis and Servicing Management Oversees credit analysis, approval process and ongoing servicing. Remains updated on the industries serviced across marketplaces. Maintains a working knowledge of various agricultural lending programs as well as other risk management tools. Completes industry specific research to validate key cash flow projections as needed. Credit Administration, Monitoring and Process Improvement Monitors loan portfolio for the organization and provides direction for loan classification. Works directly with sales/credit team(s) or with client to develop a plan to cure loan delinquencies. Monitors database exception reports to ensure proper financial, collateral, and loan c assifications are accurate. Works with portfolio management team to identify potential credit risks, develop monitoring and actions plans to manage risks. Evaluates loan turnaround, team performance metrics, other business information and client feedback to set direction in this area on an ongoing basis. The skills and experience we prefer you have: Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, agribusiness or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Expert lending experience in agriculture credit and operations. At least seven years of leadership and management experience preferred. Knowledge of federal and state (Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit. Credit, finance and risk management skills. Knowledge of production agriculture (crop & livestock), agribusiness and other rural businesses. Knowledge of Farm Credit System - loan products, services, eligibility requirements, etc. Advance knowledge of efficient, cost effective loan origination and servicing processes. Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. #IND100 How we will take care of you: Our job titles may span more than one career level (associate, senior, principal, etc.). The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
