NDI Engineering is looking for an electrical engineer to join our team in Lakehurst, NJ. The position is an experienced Electrical (GS-12/13 equivalent) or Electronics (GS-12/13 equivalent) Engineer. Roles and Responsibilities: •Actively participates in the continuous improvement of all forms of work. Uses human relations in all interactions. •Participates in teams, which search for, identify and eliminate waste (the difference between the way things are now, and the way the could be or should be if everything was perfect) from all work/business processes. •Solves problems effectively by using objective data to generate conclusions. Identifies customers, both internal and external, and meets their needs.•Performs system engineering analysis, formulates solutions or analyzes Aircraft Platform Interface - (API) equipment while stressing reliability, maintainability, safety, quality, operational readiness and performance; provides assistance to NAVAIR in critiquing proposed solutions; maintains and disseminates specialized technical expertise on API equipment and develops new hypotheses, designs, or analytical techniques. •Administers and coordinates engineering evaluation efforts on projects and acts as a technical specialist for NAVAIR. • Reviews/prepares required documentation for assigned tasks such as letters, messages, technical reports, engineering drawings and other forms of technical documentation. • Provides technical consultation to the customers (e.g. sponsor, and other activities including contractors). Represents the department at meetings or conferences concerning specialty areas. •Briefs higher-level management on status of assigned tasks and any potential problems, challenges or opportunities relating to the specialty area.• Provides technical direction for junior engineers and technicians. Qualifications:•Knowledge of ECP process•Knowledge of troubleshooting systems•AutoCAD experience•ALRE experience/knowledge would be preferred•Knowledge of cradle to grave system support•On site 2 daysMinimum Requirements •Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.•This work is NOT remote. Working in the Lakehurst, NJ is required.•GS-12/13 level experience due to several junior engineers in the branch•Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering (BSEE) OR- MSEE and five (5) to ten (10) years of experience•Good verbal and written communications skills along with ability to implement feedback from engineers, follow work instructions and work somewhat independently are highly desirable traits.NDI Engineering Company is a privately-held small business consulting firm.
