Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Medical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly of small medical parts, such as catheters, using small hand tools and microscopes. You will work with minimal supervision, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in completing assignments. Adherence to safety requirements and maintaining confidential information in accordance with company policy are essential.
Responsibilities
Assemble small medical parts, such as catheters, using small hand tools and microscopes.
Work with little to no supervision and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain confidential information in accordance with company policy.
Adhere to safety requirements.
Operate equipment such as adhesive dispensers, vertical shrinkers, braiders, tipping machines, drilling, punching, and measuring devices to assemble catheters.
Maintain written records of materials used, procedures followed, and inspection features on supplied data forms.
Advise others of the need for repairs and upgrading of manufacturing equipment.
Maintain good working relationships with co-workers.
Keep track of materials, tools, and procedures as the device is manufactured.
Affirm incoming materials meet purchase order specifications.
Support engineer project leaders with modifications in written procedures and suggest improvements in making products or sub-assemblies.
Perform testing of devices or components in accordance with written protocols and test procedures.
Essential Skills
2+ years of assembly experience in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with small piece assembly.
Detail-oriented.
Comfortable working under a microscope all day.
Work Environment
Candidates will work in a clean room environment, using a microscope to assemble small medical devices. They will use small hand tools and glue, and document each product assembled. The work involves sitting and performing repetitive tasks in a smaller clean room. The environment is a GMP clean room where lab coats, hairnets, and foot covers are required. The facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including injection molding machines, braiders, and custom forming equipment, and feature four ISO class 7 clean rooms.
