RESPIRATORY CARE PRACTITIONER - Respiratory Therapy (Pulmonary)

$28.08 - $40.44 per hour

Responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physicians orders, department policies and procedures. In addition to performing RT duties, this person will work part-time as an Emergency Technician providing supportive care to the Emergency Department patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse or physician.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS

• Graduate from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy, with current California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT and CRT) licensure.
• Minimum 1+ years experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferred, with knowledge of medical terminology. Will consider exceptional new graduate.
• **Must have current BLS and ACLS certificates, with PALS certificate required within 60-days of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia (Telemetry) certification required within 90-days of hire.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) preferred.
• Also, experience in acute hospital or ambulance setting and EMT certification is preferred.
• **Must be able to utilize applicable respiratory equipment and perform chest PT.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with patients, staff and the general public.
• Basic computer skills required.
