Clinical Informatics Coordinator - The role of the Clinical Informatics Coordinator (CIC) is integral not only in the initial installation of the Point-of-Care (POC) modules for the Electronic Health Record (EHR), but also in the continuum of maintaining the system. The CIC shall provide a synergistic approach to clinical informatics.

**Roles and Responsibilities The person selected for this position must have a clinical background and is a motivator. The CIC will not only need to be proactive with computerized documentation, but will maintain communication throughout all levels of nursing, multidisciplinary and administrative areas. Most importantly, they will also need to instruct new and existing employees on the correct processes and workflows of the system. Therefore, the skills of teaching and the ability to be clearly understood is a very important aspect of the CIC role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holds current California licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a staff nurse.
• Possesses good oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates staff development.
• Advanced computer knowledge working with Electronic Health Records.
• Demonstrates leadership, managerial ability and the application of good interpersonal relationships and principles of supervision and administration.
