  • Answers multi-line phones and directs calls to appropriate parties.
  • Retrieves voicemail messages.
  • Answers routine questions and takes messages for staff.
  • Accepts and receipts monies for pet licensing, report requests and background checks; reconciles daily deposits and receipts.
  • Copies, scans, compiles, distributes, and files paperwork and records.
  • Pulls files and records, as needed.
  • Receives and sends faxes.
  • Opens, date stamps, sorts, and distributes incoming USPSmail and interdepartment mail.
  • Drafts letters and correspondence.
  • Proofreads documents.
  • Performs routine data entry for maintaining records such as mailing lists, billing information, and customer records.
  • Schedules meetings and maintains calendars and planners.
  • Attends meetings.
  • Inventories and requisitions supplies.
  • Runs errands such as picking up and delivering supplies.
  • Operates and maintains motor vehicles and other work related equipment requiring a valid Arizona Driver License.
  • Maintains regular attendance.
  • Performs other duties of similar nature or level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, sitting, mobility, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching, twisting, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Hearing ability: sufficient to communicate effectively with others in person and by telephone.
  • Speaking ability: sufficient to communicate effectively with others in person and by telephone.
  • Visual ability: sufficient to operate vehicles by both day and night; observe unsafe road conditions; read and write reports, correspondence, instructions, etc.
