Lake George R.V. Park, Inc. Resort Grounds Worker in Lake George, New York
Resort Grounds Worker - 6 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 4/1/25 - 12/15/25.
Employer: Lake George RV Park, Inc., 74 State Route 149, Lake George, NY 12845.
Duties: Work on a resort maintaining the grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mow, trim, dig, rake, and mulch. Workers will also collect and remove litter/debris and provide upkeep to building and resort grounds.
Must exercise independent judgment and may be asked to demonstrate tasks to other employees but does not include supervision of other workers. Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds.
Must possess or be able to obtain valid driver's license within 30 days of hire.
Employer will offer transportation to and from the worksite (74 State Route 149, Lake George, NY 12845) and voluntary employer provided housing at no cost to workers. The use of this transportation is voluntary.
No education required, 3 months experience required. Will accept related experience (grounds maintenance or landscaping).
Work days: Must be available for any five-day work week schedule, to include Saturdays and Sundays with rotating days off. The standard work schedule is from 8am - 4:30pm. 40 hours/week at $18.92 - $22.00/hour. Possible OT at $28.38 - $33.00/hour. Weather conditions may affect the amount of daily hours available.
Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion based on performance, skill, tenure.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday.
All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Employer does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions.
Potential elective deductions to be pre-authorized in writing and may include the following: Employer will deduct (not to exceed) $70/week for employees who voluntarily elect to live in optional employer-offered housing with utilities.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Employer to provide and wash company-specific uniforms at no cost to the workers.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59.00/day with receipts. Transportation reimbursement based on worker's actual cost, not to exceed the most economical common carrier transportation costs for the distances involved.
