Responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of software products. This role involves planning, executing and closing projects while ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and within budget. The IT project manager coordinates with various stakeholders including business resources , IT staff, and external vendors, to ensure that project objectives are met. This role is responsible for creating an execution plan and timeline for IT deliverables, securing resources, coordinating production releases and rollouts, managing risks, issues, and communicating to IT Leadership. The IT Project Manager serves the role of a liaison between business and technical talent and facilitates delivery across various IT teams including but not limited to applications, infrastructure, security and ITSM. This role will be key in building delivery models using agile processes and drive delivery effectiveness and efficiency .

  • Effectively develops structure and project plan for desired project scope, outlining project deliverables and dependencies clearly on a timeline

  • Recommend delivery methodology for most effective execution of scope of work (agile, waterfall, etc.)

  • Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.

  • Working knowledge of SDLC (software development life cycle) and how different methodologies work within SDLC

  • Coordinate and execute IT project deployments including creation of deployment plan, change orders, secure deployment approvals, and execution of deployment plan

  • Facilitate or participate in agile ceremonies as determined by project methodology

  • Remove roadblocks for project teams to ensure project success

  • Ensures technology deliverables meet all SDLC requirements including but not limited to security, quality and architectural standards.

  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans

  • Track project team performance to ensure projects are progressing as planned

  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected

  • Provide regular status updates to all stakeholders including risks, issues, critical milestones and corrective actions if project is not green
