Blue Canyon Technologies Planner Manager in Lafayette, Colorado

Title: Planner Manager

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $75,000 - $150,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Position Purpose: The Planner Manager will mentor and manage a team of manufacturing planners to enable BCT to hit its manufacturing goals.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage a team of production planners across the 5 production areas at BCT Mentor and guide lead production planners in each of the production areas as they form planning teams inside each of their areas Responsible for creating a resource plan and resource loading planners across all projects and products Develop, implement, and maintain process documentation for the planning group Be the unifying factor across the production planning teams in establishing how communication about project/product status in manufacturing is relayed Oversee the maintenance and integrity of ERP/MRP data and how it pertains to manufacturing at BCT Play an active role in continuous improvement for the planning group and BCT manufacturing Be a source of knowledge and guidance for production planners Be a source of knowledge and guidance for the use of ERP/MRP and how it applies to BCT manufacturing Coordinate and prioritize across multiple programs and products as work orders flow through the production and test process Execute & monitor the schedules of multiple programs to meet or exceed stakeholder and customer expectations Read and execute ERP/MRP to meet schedule requirements Facilitate project issues with various functional areas of the company Drive relevant project and project status communications Coordinate and review engineering changes for assigned projects Assist with milestone presentations Assist department and/or cross-functional team in process improvement activities Identify and work to resolve all conflicts encountered on assigned projects Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications/Education:

2-3 years of experience in team leading or management High School diploma required Bachelor s degree preferred Lean and formal problem-solving training preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management High level of competency in the use of PC's and associated software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP applications Ability to effectively operate and lead in a project team environment while receiving minimum oversight Responsive and comfortable working in a dynamic environment and effectively driving critical cross-functional tasks Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks on multiple projects Ability to lead the department and team on process improvement activities Ability to effectively operate and le d in a project team environment Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
