RGP Internal Controls Project Manager in Ladson, South Carolina
RGP is looking for a Finance Project Manager who will support several critical initiatives at a manufacturing site to support engineered workflows, internal controls and inventory safe guards. Provide management with analysis of these projects to make sure they are on track. Audit/controls background at the site so must have internal controls and auditing experience. Ability to do a deep dive into the handbook policies and procedures to provide controls oversight to help safe guard assets and identify any risks. Strong in Excel (pivot tables & v-lookups) and prior experience with Oracle would be helpful but is not required. Strong communicator who will be able to work with project stakeholders; problem solver and can work independently.
Collaborate with functional leaders and SME’s within the business or organization to support information needs of the business driven by projects
Business partner with functions to develop special studies for management, annual budgets, expense and staffing forecasts, and reporting for projects
Prepare and consolidate financial data statistical reporting, including financial performance, variance explanations, and cost analysis.
Understand financial, accounting, and managerial reporting concepts and applies them in change to business processes changes/ setup’s
Partner with Information Technology teams and project management specialists to develop, test and deliver Finance Systems solutions driven from business projects or system changes.
Assist in development and execution of annual Internal control plan.
Review and tests financial and operational internal controls to evaluate the effectiveness of the internal control environment.
Review business processes to identify risks and opportunities for improvement in safeguarding company assets and business operations.
Identify internal control issues and improvement opportunities that are meaningful and practical. Prepares and reviews internal control documentation (i. . process maps, flowcharts, control matrices) to ensure documentation is current and processes are designed in accordance with company requirements.
Communicate results, observations and improvement recommendations to stakeholders.
Provide training and coaching to business on internal controls, accounting and company policies
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, coupled with previous experience in internal audit, risk management, or a related field.
7+ years of experience working in Internal Audit or Internal Controls Functions, inventory safeguards, accounting/finance and Project Management in a Manufacturing environment.
Ability to provide controls over policies and procedures and identify risks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desire and ability to gain new experience in complex, dynamic environments.
Onsite requirements 3-4 days a week.
Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
