Washington Connections Academy (WACA) is a tuition-free, online public school serving students in grades K–8 (expanding to K-12) throughout Washington. WACA is authorized under state law as a contract school with the Mary M. Knight School District. The school is operated through a contract with Connections Academy, LLC, to provide its education program and other services. Connections Academy is a division of Connections Education, which is accredited by AdvancED.
Position Summary:
Washington Connection’s Academy is seeking independent contractors around the state to help administer various standardized tests. Proctors will be responsible for supervising testing and following established guidelines and test security procedures. Proctors will be needed for all regions of the state. The ideal candidate will be flexible during our testing windows, and will be available to work on an as-needed basis.
Proctors will be needed for the following regions of the state:
April 27 - May 23 in the greater Seattle Area
The ideal candidate will be flexible during our testing windows, and will be available to work on an as-needed basis on any of the previously listed dates from 8:00 AM to 5:00PM. This would include a day of remote training before going to a test site.
The State Testing Proctor will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:
Complete required training on test security and administration;
Actively proctor testing to a small group of students;
Ensure all testing security measures are followed accurately;
Monitor environmental conditions and keep them within established guidelines;
Maintain provided supplies and materials;
Manage student behavior during testing; and
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Washington teaching certificate preferred
Minimum High School diploma required
Prior experience proctoring standardized testing preferred
Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours per day
Must be able to pass a background check
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to read provided test directions to students
Must be available from 8am-5pm on days contracted
Pay per day based on education and certification
