The Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction programwithin the Department of Ecology is looking to fill the *Program Budget Manager (WMS 2) position. This position is locatedin our *Headquarters Office inLacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.  We have a unique opportunity that brings together applying your knowledge and skills of managing budgets and the ability to help protect the Environment. In this role, you will manage an array of financial resources from EPA grants for pollution prevention to revenue generated by businesses that pay a fee for generating hazardous waste. You will manage the budget of the Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction Program, lead a team of contract experts, develop decision packages for the legislature, and provide strategic budget direction to the program leadership. You will allocate funding for new and innovative projects that support the efforts of our state's businesses to reduce their waste.   *Agency Mission: *Ecology's mission is to protect, preserve and enhance the environment for current and future generations.   *Program Mission: *The Hazardous Waste and Toxic Reduction Program's mission is to protect Washington's residents and environment by reducing the use of toxic chemicals, safely managing dangerous waste, preventing new contaminated sites, and cleaning up contamination.  *Tele-work options for this position: *This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint.
