Highway Maintenance Worker 2 (In-Training) Regionwide Buttons & Plastics Crew | Multiple Positions *Lacey, WA -- Olympic Region $46,920 -- $64,440 Annually * Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking multiple Highway Maintenance Worker 2s (In-Training) to join the Buttons or Plastics Crews out of Lacey, WA. Under the direction of a Highway Maintenance Supervisor and Highway Maintenance Worker 3, this journey-level position performs a variety of skilled maintenance tasks and is responsible for maintenance and repair of highways and highway structures to ensure the safe and efficient movement of people and commerce and may occasionally lead a crew in the absence of a Highway Maintenance Worker 3. They primarily work in the installation, removal, and maintenance of Raised Pavement Markings (RPM) and durable pavement markings; assist in the daily operations of the striping and plastics or buttons program; assist in sign maintenance; and may work with the regionwide Workzone traffic control aids in setting up and maintaining a safe work zone for regionwide, statewide, and area crews.
