The*  Shorelands & Environmental Assistance{rel="nofollow"} (SEA) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a part time *Coastal Training Program and Events Coordinator (Program Coordinator) *position. This position will be located in our *Headquarters Office in* *Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

In this position, you will provide logistic and organizational support to the Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (PBNERR) Coastal Training Program (CTP) and Northwest Straits Commission (NWSC) for implementation of programs.  This includes assisting with coordination, planning and implementation of virtual and in-person events, including classes, retreats, workshops, trainings, and conferences sponsored by the Padilla Bay CTP and NWSC. *Agency Mission: *The mission of the Department of Ecology is to protect, preserve and enhance Washington's environment for current and future generations.

* * Program Mission: *The mission of the Shorelands and Environmental Assistance Program is to create community conservation partnerships to protect and restore our shorelands, wetlands, and floodplains. The mission of *Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (PBNERR) is to promote conservation and effective management of estuarine ecosystems in the Puget Sound biogeographic region through research, monitoring, education, training, stewardship, and interpretation. The mission of the Northwest Straits Commission is to protect and restore the marine waters, habitats and species of the Northwest Straits region to achieve ecosystem health and sustainable resource use.

Please Note: *This is a project position that is funded until June 30, 2025. *This position has the potential of being renewed annually, pending availability of funding and agency authorization.  

 

Please Note: This is a* part time position. The schedule is estimated to be 30 hours per week.   *Tele-work options for this position: *This position will be eligible for up to an 70% tele-work schedule. *Applicants with questions about position location options, tele-work, and flexible or compressed schedules are encouraged to reach out to the contact person listed below in "other information." Schedules are dependent upon position needs and are subject to change.
