CREDIT ANALYST II CRE - PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT GROUP

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Participates in the portfolio management process and is responsible for evaluating the loan portfolio in order to assess loan quality, credit risk classification, collateral analysis, adherence to Bank policies and to ensure that the quality of the portfolios of assigned lending units is consistent with the goals of the Bank. Responsible for maintaining and analyzing an inventory of portfolio management reports critical to tracking portfolio metrics consistent with sound portfolio risk management.

What you will do

  • Works with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers and Credit Analysts to achieve accurately prepared presentations for credit approval and portfolio management.

  • Evaluates and examines the loan portfolio in order to assess credit worthiness including loan quality, credit risk classification, and collateral analysis. Confirms adherence to Bank policies, portfolio monitoring codes are accurately reflected and that mitigating factors are properly addressed.

  • Ensures that the RECRR contains a well-supported recommendation or decision; the risk rating is correct and supported; and the data and analytics used to support the decision are accurate and calculated correctly.

  • Responsible for assuring that Annual Credit Reviews (ACRs) are prepared in accordance with Commercial Real Estate Banking ACR format and guidelines. Assures that ACR’s are completed within department completion guidelines.

  • Participates in quarterly financial reviews of client’s financial condition including monitoring covenants and conditions. Communicates and discusses findings with the Relationship Manager and Commercial Real Estate Banking Managers, where necessary.

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on all Bank lending policies and regulations. Confers with the Manager and appropriate Bank personnel regarding new/existing lending requirements and regulations.

  • Acts in accordance with Bank’ credit culture and strategies.

  • Completes all required training. Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc).

Must-Have*

  • H.S. Diploma

  • Minimum 3 years of credit analysis or financial analysis experience required.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a banking or financial services environment required.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field preferred and/or a minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience in credit and/or financial analysis.

  • Working knowledge of credit, accounting, credit policy and financial statement analysis

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills to present clear and precise recommendations based upon analysis for action on loans and loan treatments.

Compensation

Starting base salary: $31.39 - $50.14 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
