Qualifications: * Must have Lifeguard/CPR/AED certification or be willing to obtain one. * Must pass a pre-employment background check. * Professional and personal demeanor to interact with the public and assist ill, older, or distraught clients. * Experience working with children and young adults. * Professional appearance and dedicated to being punctual. * Basic office skills; customer service, typing, filing, scheduling and organization. * Passion for water fitness and health. Preferred: * Prior experience teaching/instructing aquatic classes (preferred not required). * Network Data handling (preferred not required). * Fitness and Health interest/knowledge (preferred not required). Duties: * Instruct one-on-one or group swim lessons. * Plan, schedule and coordinate with swim lesson attendees to meet client needs. * Develop educational material to progress swimmers in achieving swim and water goals. * Demonstrate swim techniques. * Maintains a safe and positive teaching environment. * Provide hands on assistance and verbal instruction in a pool setting; often submerged in water for extended periods of time. * Lift and move up to 50 pounds. * Regularly crouching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, navigating stairs and flat walkways in pool area where wet surfaces are commonplace, ability to operate pool chair lift. * Other duties as assigned. Schedule: * Part-time, flexible schedule. * 10 - 20 hours per week. * Day shift, Monday to Friday.
