Schedule Weekly Hours:40 Gundersen Health System is seeking afull-time Certified Pharmacy Technicianfor our East Building & La Crosse Clinic location. This is your opportunity to partner with a team of medical professionals to provide Love+Medicine. What you will do: 1.0 FTE (40 hours/2 weeks) Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 8:00pm & Saturday\'s 8:45am to 1:00pm or 7:45 to 4:30 location dependent, Sunday 8:45am to 1:00pm Village Shopping Center While East Building will be your home base, you will have the opportunity to work in other Gundersen pharmacies in the greater La Crosse area to cover staffing needs Data enter prescriptions for patients, calculate proper dispensing quantities and days supplies, prepare medication labels, fill and label medications for dispensing to patients, compound non-sterile products, understand inventory needs and help place, receive and organize daily orders for medications and supplies. Job Description: Under the supervision of a pharmacists, a pharmacy technician organizes medications for dispensing to patients by reading medication orders and/or prescriptions, preparing labels and/or bags, calculating quantities, and compounding sterile and/or non-sterile products. A pharmacy technician participates in medication dispensing and/or delivery while maintaining pharmacy\'s medication management and infection control procedures, policies and regulations.
