Schedule Weekly Hours:16 This is a 24-bed inpatient medical/surgical unit where staff deliver individualized, patient- centered care in a healing environment. Orthopedic patients come in with fractures, joint replacements and major or minor trauma. Patient care teams are composed of RNs, CNAs, HUCs and an Orthopedic tech to deliver the best care to patients. What you will do: 0.4 FTE. 32 hours bi-weekly Work 4 & 8 hour Day/PM Shifts Work every other weekend and three holidays a year Shifts: 6:30am - 11am; 10:30am - 3pm; 6:30am - 3pm; 2:30pm-7pm; 6:30pm - 11pm; 2:30pm-11pm Care for a variety of surgical patients in the inpatient setting, utilizing vast array of nursing skills What you will get: Starting pay of \$17.55/hour + more for experience! 40-hour flex overtime computation. To learn more about a career as a CNA, view this Day in the Life videoJob Description: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing basic care of patients under the general supervision of an RN in the acute hospital setting. The CNA is also responsible for transporting and transferring patients within the medical complex in a safe and efficient manner. The CNA will also assist with data collection to facilitate the delivery of delegated nursing care. Major Responsibilities: 1. Assists with basic care for patients in the areas of nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility and safety. 2. Transports and transfers patients within the medical complex using appropriate equipment (ex. LIKO ceiling lifts) and utilizing safety precautions as indicated by the patient\'s health status. 3. Assists nursing staff in lifting and ambulating patients using appropriate practice guidelines. 4. Transports bodies to the morgue. 5.
