Supervisor, Landscape Construction - Kohler Hospitality

Opportunity

Under the general supervision of Manager-Landscape Operations, is responsible for installation of trees, herbaceous plant material, landscape materials, according to developed budgets, specified design plans and installation schedules of projects; along with snow removal activities as contracted with the Hospitality businesses and Kohler Company.

Specific Responsibilities

• Responsible for establishing/developing budgets and schedule for all landscape construction projects, along with supervising landscape construction personnel to implement said projects. i.e. - Supervises the installation of drainage systems, irrigation systems, paving or walkways, landscape lighting, landscape plant materials such as trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants according to specifications or job performance standards.

• Responsible for controlling costs related to labor, equipment, and material for all landscape construction projects and assigns equipment and work to individual associates.

• Responsible for coordination of all sub-contractors working on Kohler Company landscape construction projects.

• Supervises landscape construction and some maintenance personnel in the winter season to accomplish snow removal and de-icing activities to accomplish objectives set by the particular Hospitality Business contracts Landscape has negotiated, along with meeting standard operating procedures for all Kohler Company properties, associated parking lots and pedestrian walkways.

• Responsible for execution of reports and documentation associated with items No. 1 through 4.

• Supervises and/or assists in training and development of programs for employees.

• Observe all written standard operating procedures to provide a safe working environment for self, other associates, guests and the general public.

• Performance of other related duties as required.

Skills/Requirements

• Minimum of a High School education

• Working knowledge of landscape construction techniques.

• Ability to read and execute construction documents.

• 2+ years of experience in Landscape.

• 3+ years of previous supervisory experience required.

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.

The salary range for this position is $69,800 - $87,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
