Amergis Staffing is looking for RN's in Knoxville, TN! We are staffing a brand new unit Opening in Mid February!

  • $32/hr or travel pay available

  • Day shift 7A-7P, Night Shift 7p-7a

  • 12 hr shifts

  • Full time schedule

  • 13 week contracts with extensions offered

The Long Term Care RN assumes responsibility andaccountability for the delivery of care for patients in a Long Term Care and/orAssisted Living Facilities. The nursedemonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficientmanner with supervision, as well as critical thinking and performance abilitiesin the coordination of patient care. Additionally, this individual performs according to nursing standardsand is accountable for managing patient care and assisting others in themanagement of patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan,implement and evaluate patient care in a Long Term Care/Assisted LivingFacility

· Performs focused interviews to identify specificneeds

· Assesses signs and symptoms indicatingphysiologic and psychological changes in the patient’s condition

· Collects, analyzes, and interprets data andinformation from healthcare team members and documents actual and/or potentialnursing diagnoses

· Documents the patient’s plan of care usingidentified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursinginterventions as well as responses to interventions

· Performs interventions according to identifiedpriorities, plan of care, and the facility policies and patient outcomestandard

· Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeuticpatient environment

· Initiates and evaluates patient and/or familyeducation

· Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activitiesto meet patient care needs of an assigned floor/unit including establishingpriorities

· Monitors safety and effectiveness of theenvironment and equipment

· Participates in activities to facilitate goodinterpersonal communications with the chosen facility

· Supports professional practice by observing thefollowing: uses knowledge and practices in accordance with 1) the NursePractice Act; 2) Standards of Nursing Practice; 3) Standards of Patient Care;4) Joint Commission, state and local laws; 5) Patient’s Bill of Rights; and 6)Amergis Healthcare, nursing and client hospital policies

· Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

· Current RN License for the state in which thenurse practices

· Complies with all relevant professionalstandards of practice

· Participation and completion of Amergis'Competency program when applicable

· Current CPR if applicable

· TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray ifapplicable

· Current Health certificate (per contract orstate regulation)

· Must meet all federal, state and localrequirements

· Successful completion of new hire training asapplicable to job site

· Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements

· Ability to effectively elicit/provideinformation to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to,supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiencyin the English language is required

· Computer proficiency required

· Must be at least 18 years of age
