Job Summary:

In this role, you will participate in reviewing pipe and piping component related calculations and material evaluations. #LI-SNH

Major Responsibilities:

  • Essential duties include reviewing pipe and piping component related calculations and material evaluations.

  • Origination and loading of piping specifications in SRD to support project needs.

  • Prepare and coordinate piping and valve specifications and/or material requisitions, bid evaluations, and award recommendations and perform detailed supplier bid technical evaluations and supplier document reviews.

  • Candidate should have past experience with ASME B31.3/B31.1 and other relevant industry piping codes and standards.

  • Examine and analyze pipe configurations for ANSI/ASME code compliance​.

  • Participate in reviews and recommends approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements​.

  • Prepare procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations​.

  • Participate in studies that require knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in plant design and piping work.​

  • Examines and analyzes pipe configurations for ANSI/ASME code compliance​.

  • Requires knowledge of and utilizes BSAPs, SCPs, and other software, including questioning the output generated by computer programs when the results do not seem reasonable.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.

  • Good knowledge of ASME B31.3/B31.1 and other relevant industry codes and standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good knowledge of ASME B31.3/B31.1 and other relevant industry codes and standards.

  • Familiar with Bechtel's piping specifications & control.

  • US citizenship is required.
