Nexstar Media Group Intern I, News in Knoxville, Tennessee
WATE-TV is currently accepting News Internship applications for the 2025 Spring semester. Internships for this semester are unpaid. Interns must be receiving college credit. WATE News internships are designed for aspiring broadcast journalists seeking hands-on experience in a local newsroom. Interns will potentially work with reporters, photojournalists, and producers.
Internship Details:
Internship schedules will be based on requirements from college or university
Interns will be well-supervised and participate in a meaningful learning experience
Upon completion of the internship, students will be evaluated through a written review by the internship supervisor
Requirements & Skill:
Juniors and seniors studying broadcast journalism, video production, or other communication degrees
Internships must be for school credit
Be of advanced skill level due to complexity of projects
A collaborative worker with a willingness to learn
Previous internship experience a plus
