Human Resources Generalist - East Tennessee (TN, Knxoville)TN, Knoxville/Alcoa The Area HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of employee relations functions. This position will be responsible for addressing employee concerns, managing conflict resolution, and promoting a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of HR best practices, and a passion for fostering a healthy workplace culture. Key Responsibilities: + Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues within the assigned area. + Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring timely and fair resolution. + Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. + Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate disputes to maintain a positive work environment. + Develop and implement employee relations programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention. + Collaborate with the HR team to ensure consistency in policy application and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. + Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee relations cases and documentation. + Assist in the development and delivery of training programs related to employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace behavior. + Stay current with HR trends, legal updates, and best practices to ensure compliance and effective employee relations management. + Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. + Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a HR Generalist role with a focus on employee relations. + Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. + Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. + Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: + SHRM-CP or PHR certification. + Experience in the industry. + Advanced conflict resolution or mediation training.
