AAMCI is looking for a part-time Custodian/Porter for our 100-unit Elderly/Disabled community in Knoxville, TN.

Monday-Friday 8 am 12 pm, $15.00 per hour

The community is an affordable housing community with Section 8 rent subsidy, providing housing to income-qualified residents. In this position, AAMCI expects strong customer service, safety management, skill set development and time management with the goal to create a home and strong communities for each of our residents to thrive.

AAMCI provides many training opportunities, and many paid opportunities to obtain higher levels of certificates.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Upkeep of all community grounds
• Clean common areas
• Clean Stairwells
• Vacuum hallways
• Mopping
• Clean and sanitize elevator
• Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter daily
• Assist in preparation of make ready units, including remove trash
• Assist maintenance team with snow removal (if applicable)
• Report any maintenance concerns for resolution

Qualifications necessary for success:

• Ability to self-motivate
• Courteous
• Physically able to perform all duties required, including but not limited to standing, walking, lifting, bending, and working outdoors
• Reliable transportation

Uniform shirts are provided for each team member.
