Position Summary

We seek a new team member to help coordinate a variety of administrative business support processes while assisting with human resources and accounting tasks. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing Human Resources and Accounting skills while contributing to various business functions including recruitment, employee, vendor and client relations. The ideal candidate should be a fast learner, detail-oriented, organized, enjoy a variety of tasks and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting (25%):

  • Prepare and process accounts payable invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions, including billing, collections, and cash applications.

Shipping/Receiving/Inventory (25%):

  • Coordinate and support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
  • Assist with product catalog updates
  • Conduct onsite inventory audits

Human Resources (10%):

  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain employee files and ensure the accuracy and completeness of employee information.
  • Schedule new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Provide support to employees on HR-related questions and issues.
  • Schedule employee performance evaluations with managers and employees.
  • Assist with HR projects as needed.

Marketing Support (15%)

  • Participate in direct mail activities

Other (25%):

  • Prepare draft documents for management team
  • Logistical support for internal meetings
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, human resources, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be a problem solver
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,081.17 - $45,861.20 per year
