Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in the accounting industry, specifically in the public sector. Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, this role emphasizes the execution of auditing tasks in a dynamic work environment. As an Audit Sr. - Public, you will be instrumental in conducting financial statement audits for mid-sized companies across various industries.
Responsibilities:
• Execute audit engagements across multiple industries, ensuring adherence to established audit plans and programs.
• Conduct audit tests to verify the accuracy of accounting transactions and trial balances.
• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and streamline the auditing process.
• Prepare trial balances and make necessary journal entry adjustments.
• Oversee the final trial balance preparation and the creation of comprehensive financial statements.
• Engage with clients to clarify queries and provide updates on audit progress.
• Review internal controls and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Use CCH ProSystem Fx and Fx Engagement tools to facilitate audit processes.
• Pull audit samples and test controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor client accounts and take corrective action when necessary.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Audit Program development
• Experience with CCH ProSystem Fx software
• Proven track record in managing Audit Engagements
• Strong understanding of Auditing principles and practices
• Ability to develop and execute Audit Plans
• Previous experience in a Audit Senior role
• Excellent Client Engagement skills
• Knowledge of Fx Engagement requirements
• Experience in conducting Financial Statement Audits
• Understanding of Internal Control mechanisms
• Ability to Prepare Trial Balance reports
• Experience with Trial Balance procedures
• Proficiency in conducting Audit Tests
