Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NUCLEAR) in the NUCLEAR PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will serve as the technical expert on the limitation of proven concepts and practices. You will serve as the Production Department expert on matters involving the quality of nuclear production operations. You will provide supervisors and others with authoritative determinations. You will plan and conduct a variety of special project to enhance the Quality Assurance Program. You will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and accuracy of all Production Department quality and reliability assurance programs as they involve nuclear related activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience determining manpower resources and equipment requirement; Experience developing and executing training programs for nuclear production work; Experience developing changes and modifications to existing quality assurance programs or develop new programs to account for changes in nuclear requirements; Experience planning and coordinating various phases of work and establishing priorities; Experience reviewing deficiency reports and incident reports to determine cause and coordinate corrective actions.
