Position: Ag. Equipment / Farm Worker

Requirements: Driving, Lifting requirement of 50lbs, exposure to extreme temps, Extensive pushing or pulling, Extensive sitting or walking.

Job description: Job requires operating farm equipment, tractors with various implements, combines, and sprayers to till soil, plant, cultivate, irrigate, fertilize, & harvest crops. Job will also require performing mechanical repair and maintenance on tractors and field equipment; operating and maintaining irrigation equipment such as well motors and pivots; using hand tools in fields for repairs and weeding; operating mowers; performing work in and around grain bins such as leveling, shoveling, and sweeping grain; transferring grain between grain bins and in and out of trucks coming from fields during harvest using augers and other automatic grain moving equipment. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions.

Anticipated hours of work per week: 60

Schedule: Monday to Saturday 7am to 5pm

Anticipated period of employment: 2/1/25 to 11/30/25

** Effective 1/1/24, overtime must be paid after 48 hours worked per week, or 56 hours worked per week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers, after 54 hours worked per week for non-highly seasonal employers, and after 56 hours worked per week for small employers.
