The Walt Disney Company Sr. Marketing Strategy Manager - runDisney in Kissimmee, Florida

As Senior Marketing Strategy Manager with run Disney, you will lead a team of passionate, strategic thinkers to develop marketing strategy and go-to-market plans for our onsite and virtual events that drive direct and strategic value for Walt Disney World. You will be the primary point of contact for cross-functional Centers of Excellence and Business Development partners. Your responsibilities include leading strategic inputs and roadmaps, integrated communications planning, website management, event communications, partner management, long-term calendar planning and integration efforts, and other duties as assigned.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy.

Marketing Strategy/Brand Management:

  • Serve as primary brand steward, ensuring strong product positioning, in alignment with consumer insights and trends, Disney differentiators, and business needs

  • Serve as key leader of the brand strategy team for run Disney, developing roadmaps and integrated communication plans throughout the year for onsite and virtual events

  • Lead segmentation strategies and consumer informed messaging to support business growth across key markets

  • Lead the development of after-action reviews through research and analysis, including measurements, results and actionable insights to inform future growth strategy

  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and other partners in the development of run Disney marketing communications, website and branding efforts that lead to an elevated Guest experience

  • Provide leadership to other marketing team members in the development of strategic documents and COE inputs

Partner Management:

  • Drive additional awareness and message integration through partnerships with key internal synergy marketing partners including Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line, Golden Oak and Club 33

  • Provide oversight of initiatives with external partners (Corporate Sponsors) leading up to and during events

  • Provide thought partnership and recommendations for Groups and Charities team

Products and Services:

  • Provide oversight of strategies to up-sell ancillary products and merchandise to existing runners

  • Work with Integration team to develop tools to educate guests and encourage conversion

Content Creation Support:

  • Lead brand and content creation efforts leveraging internal and external partners, closely collaborating with social media lead

  • Collaborate with internal teams in the development of broadcast/filming needs leading up to and during all onsite events

  • Review and provide strategic feedback on captured footage to ensure brand and legal compliance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in marketing strategy and/or account management

  • Ability to think strategically and make decisions based on data analysis, business needs and guest experience

  • Experience leading and executing Roadmaps, ICPs and CRM tactics

  • Experience working with multiple marketing platforms including: CRM, digital media, website, social media, search marketing, print, outdoor and collateral

  • Experience building positive inter-departmental relationships to achieve results and leading partner teams

  • Ability to multi-task and meet quick deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with senior executives

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and presentation development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Walt Disney Company and Disney Parks

  • Experience leading direct reports

  • Experience or interest working with running and/or fitness industry

  • Experience in multicultural marketing strategy

  • Proficient in Spanish

  • Video production knowledge

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, or related field

Preferred Education:

  • MBA, or Master’s in Marketing, Communications, or related field

This is a Full-time role

This position may be located in Celebration, FL or Kissimmee, FL
