Job Description

This is a front-end Pharmacy Technician role. You will handle prescriptions from the start until they move to the fulfillment department. You will work in all queues and receive cross-training. Responsibilities include intake and input of prescriptions, working the phones, refilling prescriptions, resolving issues manually, clarifying prescriptions, and handling transfers from other retail stores. You will manage inbound and outbound phone calls, approximately 80-100 calls per shift when assigned to phone duty. You will engage in all parts of the front-end pharmacy operations.

Ensures fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions by inputting patient information into pharmacy systems, obtaining refill clarification and authorization, and identifying and selecting pharmaceutical products and quantities for prescription orders.

Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
