Lenoir County Detention Officer in Kinston, North Carolina
As a Detention Officer with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The Sheriff's Office is seeking motivated candidates who will assure the safety and security of inmates in assigned areas within the Detention Facility. Candidates for employment must be alert, show tact and decorum, while performing duties with specific instructions, policies and directions set forth by the Sheriff's Office. Employees in this class are subject to hazards associated with law enforcement. Rotating shift and weekend work is essential for this position as well. This position is considered essential and requires reporting to work for inclement weather and as other needs arise within the division.
Minimum Requirements: 21 years of age Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Pass a Drug Screen, Medical Exam and Psychological Test Must be of Good Moral Character
