Community Health Systems Receptionist - Medical Office- FT- Orthopaedics in Kingston, Pennsylvania

To provide a variety of clerical duties to the physician and other members of the physician's office which includes receiving patients and visitors, determining their needs, and directing them accordingly; Answers telephones, taking messages, scheduling appointments, receiving payments, and issuing receipts; and performing routine filing.

Requires knowledge of medical office and business office procedures, third-party payers, grammar, spelling, basic arithmetic, and use of the official site computer system for registration, and appointment scheduling. Requires skill to balance and reconcile figures; operates a computer, copy machine, calculator, and fax machine. Greet patients and answer the phone in a pleasant and helpful manner, and obtain and/or verify patient demographic and insurance information. Requires the ability: File/Scan materials, read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions; speak clearly and concisely, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, patients, employees, and the public.
