Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week and no weekends

Rate of pay commensurate with years of experience at GHV.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities Maintenance employee is responsible to ensure facilities, grounds and equipment are properly maintained and operational.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and train assigned Facilities Assistants/interns.

  • Perform the following maintenance and repair functions as directed: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, painting, grounds keeping and snow removal.

  • Construct and renovate office space and work areas, and assemble and move furniture and equipment as directed.

  • Maintain assigned Gateway machinery, equipment and tools as directed.

  • Maintain a written inventory of all equipment, supplies and tools assigned to him/her.

  • Be in compliance with all training and regulations.

  • Demonstrate positive work attitudes and habits.

  • Maintain all site operations in accordance with specified certification criteria and Health Department regulations. Ensure compliance with OPWDD, OMH, OFA, and any other organization or government agency as required.

  • Actively participate in health and safety practices and accident prevention.

  • Maintain a work environment in a clean, organized, and safe manner. Conduct daily inspections of work areas to look for unsafe conditions.

  • Ensure all accidents are reported to supervisor and Human Resources.

  • Maintain practices to ensure Health and Safety compliance.

  • Use all required safety devices and personal protective equipment.

  • Demonstrate positive work attitudes and habits. Act as a role model for vocational success for the individuals the agency serves.

  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to Gateway Community Industries’ Corporate Compliance Policy and Standards of Conduct as well as all applicable program rules, regulations and policies.

  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance and act as a role model.

  • Perform other duties as assigned
