Position Purpose:

Support efficient operations of the nursing unit. Utilize skills in reception, transcription, maintaining medical records and clerical duties. Other duties as assigned.

Rhythm Strip Interpretation:

The Monitor Tech (MT) will maintain a baseline level of ECG monitoring for all ordered patients, detect and alert nursing staff to significant dysrhythmias, and perform continuous monitoring and intermittent recording on patients in crisis.

  1. Respond promptly to monitor alarms and takes appropriate
  2. Record, interpret, post and report rhythms on all monitored patients at the scheduled times and as
