Job Summary:

The Food Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This role requires a friendly and outgoing personality, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Interaction:

    • Greet guests promptly and courteously as they are seated.
    • Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
    • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Order Delivery:

    • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Ensure orders are delivered accurately and to the guests' satisfaction.
    • Check on guests periodically to ensure they have everything they need.
  • Customer Service:

    • Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns.
    • Provide exceptional service by anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations.
    • Handle guest complaints or issues with a positive attitude and seek assistance from management when necessary.
  • Table Maintenance:

    • Prepare tables for new guests by cleaning and setting up tableware, linens, and condiments.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area throughout the shift.
    • Clear and reset tables promptly after guests leave.
  • Payment Processing:

    • Present checks to guests and process payments accurately.
    • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and provide change as needed.
    • Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth service.
    • Assist with side work and opening/closing duties as assigned.
    • Support colleagues during busy periods by taking additional orders and assisting with service.
