Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thu 7:30-5:30 Fri 7:30-11:30

Summary of Position

Assist the Dean of Student Success & Persistence with departmental operations by providing administrative support and day-to-day direction/ guidance in programs, budget, studio management and processes. Perform routine clerical office and reception/customer service functions that support the overall mission of SSP and the departmental mission and that of its sub-divisions/programs including Academic Studio, Career Center, Retention Services, Disability Support Services, Housing, Student Life, Student Conduct, Title IX and other related success programs.

Minimum Required Education

High school diploma or GED required. Associate Degree preferred.

Minimum Required Experience

Six years wage earning clerical experience or certification / successful completion of relevant trade school (30 college credits) and two years wage earning clerical experience or Associates Degree and one year wage earning clerical experience is required.

A copy of certificates and/or college transcripts is required with application for evaluation purposes.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent English written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Outlook.

  • Knowledge of record-keeping, budgeting, basic human resource and payroll operations, filing systems, and preparations of reports and forms.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of student services and support programs, and familiarity with various campus and community resources.

  • Operational knowledge and experience with Ellucian Colleague and/or other comparable student information system is preferred.

  • Ability to learn and use TargetX and TutorTrac among other college technology systems.

  • Ability to participate and support student success and support services programs, activities and events.
